Dr. Allison Baker seeks to know her patients and their families as individuals, so that she can understand them and care for them in the most effective way possible.

From Childhood to Adulthood

Dr. Baker is a board-certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist based in Wellesley, MA. She has extensive experience evaluating and treating a wide variety of psychiatric disorders from childhood to adulthood. She has particular expertise in pediatric obsessive compulsive disorder, adolescent mood disorders, and reproductive psychiatry.

Dr. Baker is committed to improving the wellness of her patients through a holistic, flexible and responsive approach. She is known for her warm and collaborative style, and is intensively trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.

Professional Experience

Prior to moving to Wellesley, Dr. Baker was on the faculty at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she served as the director of their adolescent intensive outpatient program. She then worked at the Child Mind Institute in NYC, with a focus on mindfulness practice as a clinical tool, and public mental health education through the media. 

She is thrilled to join the faculty at the Massachusetts General Hospital, where she will be working in the Center for Women's Mental Health and supervising resident physicians.
